October 29 - November 2, 2018

Dear Parents,

Halloween week, good luck Parents! Thursday we will be riding the bus to the Frontier Homestead State Park, from there we will walk to the City Park, eat lunch, and then walk back to school.  So far we have 6 parent helpers.  As a grade level we need 3 more.  Please email me if you're interested.

Progress Reports and a book report information will be coming home later this week.  The mystery book reports were great!  


 We had visitors from the Police Department for Red Ribbon week and some Crazy Hair!





Curriculum News:
  • Literacy - Scholars are reading about life in the Middle Ages, from serfs, castles, knights, and towns!  We have been practicing how to work independently during Daily 5 time.  My goal is to have a spelling test this Friday.
  • Math - Monday's lesson 4.4, divide with 10's, 100's, and 1000's.  Tuesday's lesson 4.5, estimate quotients.  Wednesday's lesson 4.6, division and the distributive property.  Thursday will be a review day. Friday's lesson 4.7, divide using repeated subtraction.
  • Science - Fish reports and bird studies!
