Happy Fall!

This week is SEP week, thank you for confirming your time with me.  Scholars and I will be going over their data folder with you, writing goals, and going over Progress Reports.

Curriculum News:
  • Literacy - We have been reading a funny story in our Personal Narrative unit, "Food From the Outside".  We will continue to work with the story,  literary devices and writing their own personal narratives.
  • Math - We will go over our math test and graph scores. Tuesday's lesson, introduction to Chapter 3, Chapter 3 is multiplying 2-digit numbers.  I can't stress enough how important it is to work on times tables at home.  The strategies that we learned in Chapter 2 will be reintroduced in chapter 3, but using 2-digit by 2-digits.  Wednesday's lesson 3.1, multiplying by tens.  Thursday's lesson 3.2, estimate products.  Friday's lesson 3.3, area models and partial products.
