Dear Parents,

 Congratulations to Jack!  He won the Region Spelling Bee!  He competed against students from ages 9-13.


 Congratulations to Wyatt and Dylan!  They along with Ambrie from Mrs. Reynolds class will be competing against all district 4th graders with the calculators on Friday.

 Progress Reports for 4th term will be coming home on Tuesday.

 If you are interested in a National Park pass, there is a program for 4th graders.  Here is the link;https://everykidinapark.gov/get-your-pass/. This is a great program and opportunity for your family!

 Curriculum News:

  • Literacy - We have been reading our CKLA Geology reader and taking a mini break from Treasure Island.  Scholars are writing wiki entries and we are always working on grammar.
  • Math - Monday's lesson 10.4, classifying quadrilaterals.  Tuesday's lesson 10.5, line symmetry.  Wednesday's lesson 10.6, find and draw lines of symmetry.  Thursday's lesson 10.7, problem solving with shape patterns.  If I feel like the scholars are ready we will test on Friday.
  • Science - Scholars have been reading about volcanoes and will be writing a Wiki entry on volcanoes.  We will also begin our study on the rock cycle and how to classify rocks.

  • March 25 - 29, School Community Workers (lunch, hall, flag duty)
  • March 29, District Math Calculator Competition.
  • April 1, Happy April Fool's Day!
  • April 2, Reading Lunch Club with Mrs. Komarek
  • April 3, Kindergarten Registration
