 Congrats to Jack for winning the South Elementary Spelling Bee!


 Progress Reports didn't come home last week, sorry.  They will be coming home this week.

 Curriculum News:

  • Literacy - Spelling patterns went home last week, spelling test will be this Friday.  We wrapped up the poetry unit.  We will be starting Unit 8 of CKLA, Treasure Island.
  • Math - Going over Chapter 8 test, reteaching and retesting for those that need it.  Chapter 9 is on fractions and decimals.  Tuesday and Wednesday's lesson 9.1, relate tenths and decimals. Thursday and Friday's lesson 9.2, relate hundredths and decimals.
  • Science - We have started our Geology unit and have been reading about Pangaea, layers of the earth, and plate tectonics.
Important Dates:
  • February 25, Talent Show entries are due
  • February 27, ICSD Spelling Bee
  • February 28, Talent Show Auditions
  • February 28, I will be at a training.
  • March 1, Reading Lunch Club
  • March 4, Water Fair, we will be walking to the Heritage Center.  We will be back to school in time for lunch.
  • March 5, BIOGRAPHY is due
  • March 5, ALL LATE OR MISSING ASSIGNMENTS ARE DUE
  • March 6, Happy Birthday Holden!
  • March 7, Talent Show rehearsal
  • March 8, end of 3rd term
  • March 8, South Elementary Talent Show
  • March 10, Happy Birthday Mrs. Komarek!
  • March 11-12, No school
  • March 12, Happy Birthday Hayden!
  • March 15, Spring Pictures
  • March 16, Happy Birthday Sarah!
