It's winter and it's cold, please make sure that you are sending your scholar to school in coats (gloves, hats) we will be going outside for breaks unless it is under 20 degrees.

Curriculum News:
- Literacy - New spelling patterns will be coming home today, a test will be in two weeks. We started our Poetry Unit, scholars will be reading poetry and then have opportunities to write their own poems using literary devices. During small group time I will be doing Mid-year reading assessments and spell groups.
- Math - Monday's lesson is 6.7, compare fractions. Tuesday's lesson is 6.8, compare and order fractions. Wednesday we will review and Thursday scholars will test on Chapter 6. Friday we will go over test. Our next chapter will be adding and subtracting fractions.
- Science - We will wrap up our water cycle unit this week. I still need a few 2-liter, empty bottles if anyone has some at their house. Our next unit will be Standard 2, Weather.
