Happy 2019!!
Welcome back! Today is the start of our third quarter. Can you believe it? Third quarter, we are half way through the year. Progress Reports for second quarter will be coming home this week.
We will be getting a student teacher from SUU next Monday. Her name is Miss Summer Soriano, she will be starting on Monday, January 7th. We are so happy to welcome her!
Reading Logs won't come home until Friday.
Remember to sign up for Remind. This is how you will be notified for attendance and other alerts. Also, sign up separately for bus specific alerts. Detailed instructions are on South's website
Curriculum News:
- Literacy - We will be starting Unit 3 of CKLA, this unit will focus on poetry. Scholars will be reading and writing poetry. We won't have new spelling words until next week.
- Math - We will review and go over what we started to work on before Christmas. Fractions, equivalent fractions, simplest form. Friday's lesson 6.7, comparing fractions.
- Science - Reviewing the water cycle and scholars will create a model of the water cycle. I need 15 empty 2-liter soda bottles. If you have any around your home, will you please send in!
