Hello and Welcome to a new week of school!
SEP week is fast approaching! I will be sending home times to meet with me this week. Please look over the time and let me know if that works for you.
Our 4th Graders performed for the school on Friday for the MLK Assembly, they did a great job singing the songs!
Curriculum News:
- Literacy - New Word study words will be coming home this week. Test will be next Friday. We are reading about the American Revolution in our CKLA readers. The text structure that we are learning about with the American Revolution is Cause and Effect.
- Math - Tuesday's lesson 7.2, write fractions as sums. Wednesday's lesson 7.3, add fractions using models. Thursday lesson's 7.4, subtract fractions using models. Friday's lesson 7.5, add and subtract fractions.
- Science - Your scholar has become a mini meteorologist! We have made some weather instruments, learned how to use them, and are gathering weather data every day!
Important Dates:
- January 22, Celebrate Emma's 1/2 birthday!
- January 23, Celebrate Luke's 1/2 birthday!
- January 27, CMS Orchestra Concert for 4th and 5th graders
- January 29, I will be at a training in the morning
- January 30, CMS Band Concert fro 4th and 5th graders
- February 3 - 7. SEP week, school will be out at 2:30 each day
- February 4, Book Report due
- February 10, Celebrate Ethan's 1/ 2 Birthday!
- February 14, Valentine's Day
- February 14, Celebrate Kostner's Birthday!
- February 14, President's Day Assembly
- February 17, President's Day, no school
- February 19, I will be at a training in the morning
