Welcome to a new week of learning. :)
2nd term Progress Reports will be coming home this week, they do not come back to school, this one is for your records.
New book report was introduced last week, this report will focus on a battle of the book book.
Curriculum News:
- Literacy - Word Study test this Friday! We are working in Unit 7, The American Revolution. We will focus on Cause and Effect, scholars will be writing an informational essay during this unit. During small group time I will be benchmarking students to check their reading progression at mid-year.
- Math - Monday we will review Chapter 6. Tuesday we will test on Chapter 6. Wednesday we will go over Chapter 6 and do vocabulary for Chapter 7. Chapter 7 focuses on adding and subtraction fractions. Thursday's lesson 7.1, add and subtract parts of a whole. Friday's lesson, write fractions as a sum.
- Science - Weather, weather, weather! This week we will be learning about all the different weather instruments.

Home Extension:
- Nightly reading, summary writing.
- Times table practice to work on fluency.
