Book report information went home last week, this is to help get the teams ready for Battle of the Books, which is May 7th.
Progress Reports will be coming home this week, please look over and encourage your scholar to turn in any missing assignments, all late work due by May 17th.
For our program on May 16th, scholars will have speaking parts, they will be in groups of 3-4. It is very important that your scholar memorize their part, parts will be coming home on Tuesday.
Curriculum News:
- Literacy - Word Study test this Friday. We are reading Treasure Island, unit 8 of CKLA. We will continue with small groups for as long as we can.
- Math - Monday's lesson 12.8, 12.9, units of time and elapsed time. Tuesday's lesson 12.10, 12.11, mixed measures and patterns in measurement units. Wednesday's lesson 13.1, perimeter. Thursday's lesson 13.2 and 13.3, area and combined rectangles. Friday's lesson 13.4 and 13.5, unknown areas and story problems.
- Science - Fossils; making fossils, learning about the fossils that have been found in Utah and Utah's past environments.
