Dear Parents,

Field trip today!  It's exciting to have an outdoor learning day! We have some great learning opportunities planned for our 4th graders.

Progress Report #2 will be coming home early this week.  Missing assignments are highlighted.  Please sign, return.  I do send these back home.

Curriculum News:
  • Literacy -  We are still reading personal narratives in our first CKLA unit.  During writing time we are focusing on Literary devices and sentence structure.  
  • Math - Tuesday's lesson 2.6, multiply using expanded form.  Wednesday's lesson 2.7, multiplying using partial products.  Thursday's lesson 2.8, multiplying using mental math.  Friday's lesson 2.9, multistep multiplication problems.  Please continue to work on times table facts with flash cards or what ever works best for your scholar.  
  • Science - During our field trip we will get to experience wetlands and forests first hand :)  In class we are focusing on deserts and the plants that have adapted to survive in that environment.  Pictures are from our wetland investigation last week.
